Our forefathers fought a war over the simple proposition that there be no taxation without representation. Perhaps it is time for us to adopt a similar proposition that there be no lawmaking without direct vote. I'm sure the founders are rolling over with each secrative new beaurobabble law that chips away at our freedoms. They were willing to get out the flintlocks over a tax on tea, seems the least we could do is band together and fight for direct representation.
