I have been there many times but only passing by. There are several structures there and signs up saying it's posted and private. But over the last 8 years, I've never seen anyone around. On the way there you pass by several pits where I have found gold in the past that are not posted. St. Louis is a big one on your left as you are going up the road. It's not as isolated an area as one might think from looking at the map. Good luck!
