SOON! (God willing and the creek don't rise and if the republicans keep congress). We are loading the wagon as quick as possible and for the long trip west on the Oregon Trail we've just finished j e r k ing the last of our neighbor's dachsunds. Nothing better than after making an honest 13 miles on the trail to sit by a fire under the stars and gorge on something that's barked at and aggravated you for over two long years.

You had a chance to accumulate any beach dust lately, Radar? I can't think of it too much or I find myself drooling more than usual. This is OK when my shirt's on fire, but otherwise my wife ditches me in public...and sometimes at home too. Taking care of last minute stuff, then we are taking Horace Greely's advice to "go west young man, go west". Like the ancient scriptures say, "West is Best and East is Least and were I am now sucks". And of course everybodies favorite poem:

My belly done shrunk,

so I reached and felt

but my pants were gone...

where's my bananna belt?!
