Any XT17/18000 users still out there ?

G'day all forumites.

The irrepressible Doc Lousignont has ONE ONLY special "Hollins" 12" lightweight coil in stock for anyone still using the Minelab XT detectors.

This was the coil I used right up until the SD came along and the SD really struggled to pull out any more gold from patches I had hammered with it. When the "3 times deeper" SD entered the scene, most Aussie prospectors were using these special Hollins coils on VLF machines and in our early comparison tests between the SD and our VLF's with Hollins coils, the SD was looking like a lemon which might have a slight advantage but nowhere near even double the depth. On average, we could only concede a 20% improvement to the SD over the XT and the Hollins coils, and that was in very hot ground where the SD was supposed to go " 3 times deeper".

So dont hesitate too long, it's first in best dressed for this great XT coil. Doc also has my 10" elliptical XT coil which is hardly used and a lucky forum reader can have it for half new price.

Good hunting,

Chris Hake.
