We have prescriptive rights here in NM too, but Where the BLM used to have the courage to enforce the BLM right of access laws to keep the public access open, they now have done a 180, thanks to Slick Willy's no-use-of-public-lands directive, and simply tell us that we have to go to court against the person who closed the road to get it re-opened.

And that my friends, is not cheap. $5000 to $10,000 per occurance, times 250,000+ closed public lands roads, equals we lose and the lawyers win.....again... IF we even bother, which most people won't.

Sorry about the sour grapes, but I lost my "be nice and co-operate" on this subject years ago.... (cause it always ended up "be nice and get scr*wed".
