What the other folks said is good follow their advice. All I can add is this; I was in the El Paso's about a few years ago. Our club was invited up to a claim leased by the Antelope Valley Treasure Hunters Club, located in Bonanza Gulch. I spent several days working the washes and hillsides without results. Finally one of the AVTHC members told me I should be raking down and working the old dump piles from the prospects of the miners who worked the area in the 30's. This, I did and found several nice little pieces, don't remember the weights. It drove home the point of "When in Rome do as the Romans Do".
