Zbrik, the earlier comments by Tom, Jesse, and David are right on the money. The DD gives more stability, permitting higher gain levels (10, instead of 4, in my soil) it does knock out the little hot rocks, pinpoints like a dream with the tip, doesn't require overlapping the coil per sweep, thus more ground covered in an hour, and still nails those 1/10th grain nuggets. I highly recommend it! I also like the sierra Gold Max for greater depth; up to 40% more than the regular coil. Hope this helps. HH Jim
