found some GOLD October 30, 1999 at 13:41:15 yep i did. finaly got enough time off from work and the honeydo list to do some dredgeing in the bumble bee area. the area hade enough water which is unusaul for arizona. the roadrunner claim had been hit hard but i was just practiceing to get the bugs out of my system for california trip. i went down to bed rock in a gravel that had already been dredged but as i checked my box there was A little color, so i keeped going. the other miner must haved not had time to do A good job. this has happened to me too. about 5 horizontal feet into the material I hit hard pac, the old solid stuff. had to use the nozzel to break it up. there were some other prospectors in the area stopping by to check on my results and i told them i was practiceing but finding A little color. they tested my tailings after asking and said my dredge was not losing much if i was getting some color and told me i shoud not dredge alone. which is good advice. anyway after about 5 hours one day and 6 hours a second day, i broke thruogh the other side of the hardpack. it was in a trench in the shale bedrock about 6 foot wide to nothing slanting upstream. the hardpack section was only 5 to 6 foot long and must have been skipped, the bedrock is fracured clay like gray stuff and i broke it up some but will go back to finish soon if its not already gotten by the other miners. i did not tell them what i actually got which is what you should do if you plan on returning and still working the spot. for 11 hours of actual dredgeing time i ended up with 21 grams of bright small some little course chunks and fines but mostly little chunks pin head to match head. i was useing a 4 inch with air and it was a great time to be out there. Please reply since this is my first story post as to how i did thank TWHaz.
