I have a fellow that came into my shop and wanted to know what machine would be best to take to Alaska to hunt for gold. He has been going for many years and just panning, but wants to try a detector now. I realy dont know what to recomend for him, but gave him a few suggestions, but would like your opinions. I heard the Minelab SD 2200 would be good, but the Minelab 1800 is cheaper or how about the Tesoro Super Traq Lobo? or better yet what would you people that use one recomend?
