The Truth Hurts April 22, 2000 at 12:26:13 In Reply to: Question on detector for gold hunting posted by Rick(ND) on April 22, 2000 at 01:01:01 The Truth is that a Minelab SD2200 is deeper on big nuggets than the other gold machines. The truth is if you are hunting for nuggets over 1/2 ounce you should go with the Minelab. The truth is if you want to find the worlds other 99% of the gold you should choose a Tesoro Lobo SuperTraq, Fisher Gold Bug II, Fisher Gold Bug, Whites GM 4b. Minelabs are hyped right, they do find nuggets deeper, problem is that most places don't have nuggets the size they are good at finding. Man am I ever going to get nailed for this one! I have to tell you the truth. I am a dealer, and I have used them all and I have found gold with them all. First of all I am not even sure why I am telling you this. Most people, buy what the ads tell them to buy. Most people pay $3000 for a Minelab SD22000 and say why does the Lobo Find smaller gold. Most people don't want to admit they were led into purchasing, based on ads. For instance there is one guy on here that swears the GM4 is the best and he has wrote books to that fact. Another swears that the SD22000 is the best and he is a dealer, trying to promote his product. I use a Lobo SuperTraq, because it has Auto Ground Balance. I have tried them all and found gold.
