Hi Tom, I agree with what you have said here, but here's an interesting side note to your impression about the size nugget an SD will find. We were out yesterday and my friend found a copper nugget about the size of a "BB" using an SD 2100 with the 5X10 eliptical coil. We did an air test and my gold bug picked it up at about 2.5 to 3 inches. He was getting a good signal at 4 inches. My opinion is anything smaller ain't worth searching for.....[the outlaw]rf
