Hey Al,

I sure wish you were still located here in Phoenix Az. Not only myself, but many other guys really miss your company and store. As far as the little nuggets go, your right it takes so many just to make a couple of pennyweights. I have found several hundred crumbs in the Bradshaw Mountains over the last couple of years. I'm looking for some pieces that have a little more mass to them. Don't get me wrong, if there within my path I will take them, but when I leave in the morning my mind is set on finding more sizable nuggets. As far as the Quartzsite trip, I'm not sure if your talking about the Quartzsite outing that I scheduled last year or talk about myself prospecting over there. As far as the the Quartzsite outing, about twenty guys showed for the weekend. Many guys were already there Friday afternoon, but I didn't arrive until late Friday night. Remember ol' Glen Anderson, well he arrived Saturday morning to see what was going on. Glen was real interesting to talk with, and gave the group some pointers on where we should try. Several other guys arrived during the day like Rattlesnake John and a few nugget hunters from California. During the day most of the group split up and went there own ways. My group went off of what Glen told us and we ended up finding a few nuggets. My partner found one nice one that was about three pennyweights while I found one in a coarse tailing pile that was about a pennyweight in a half. The area we was in was over near the Middlecamp placers, while some guys headed towards the La Paz placers, and others towards Plomosa and Oro Fino. By the end of the day only the SD's were able to score any nuggets, althought the Vlfer's were talking crap all night about how they would outshoot the SD's. Mike K. was able to two to three nuggets over near the Dome Rock Placers while he was using an SD2200d. The next day, Sunday morning, we took the whole group back over to the Middlecamp area and hunted for about half of a day. Nobody was able to score a nugget Sunday, but we gave it a fair run. Damn I sure wish you were around so you could have joined in. We never really got to go out nugget shooting since we used to talk about it all the time in the shop. You realize now that I have to go prospecting on my days off rather than come bother you and Deb in the old shop on Northern. I have been back out to Quartzsite a few times and found a few small ones, but the heat will keep me from the area now. Today the high will be up to 107 degrees. I wish you and Deb the best of luck and hope you had a wonderful time in England. Furthermore, it would hurt our feeling if you ever decided to move back:) Take care good friend,

Robert
