Tips for Otto

Hi Otto and All

You are the owner of the best metal detector ever made !!! That's not my opinion that's a fact !!! I always hunt in the full salt ground settings usually about 2 or 3 on sensitivity . I use Koss earphones and harness mount my box . I usually hunt with the sierra goldmax coil but if the area is brushy or lots of grass you might use the small coil . I have never used the DD coil so I can't speak for it. I usually don't use the 3X or 5X unless I'm really dinkin or getting really desperate !!! That don't happen too often :o):o) !! I have found that by lowering your sensitivity in the noisier ground you will gain depth . When hunting in salt ground setting the noise and targets won't be to load so put your headphones on high and listen carefully . You won't miss the dinkies even in the lower sensetivity but they don't make a whole lot of noise either .When you go out take some varios sized bullets ,and birdshot with you into the field and check them at different depths . As you bury the targets deeper and listen to the differences in sounds they make . Most users never learn the sounds of the real deep targets ,they are usually very subtle but pinpiontable . If your hunting in mineralized soil even reasonably quiet ground DON"T TRUST THE DISCRIMINATOR !!!!!! Now get your butt out there and make me proud :o):o)Happy Huntin John B.
