Rye Patch Nevada first timer with questions.

Uncle Sam has just given me a little time off from flying in and out of Baghdad and I'd like to try my luck in the Rye patch nugget shooting. Question is other than the info I've collected on the web I have no idea where to start my search. I'm not even sure where to park my car. Do most people search at the state park, north of there? South of interstate 80? I'm not asking to know where your secret favorite place is but please steer me in the right direction. I'm also looking for a used LOBO SuperTRAQ on Ebay but have never used one before so any suggestions would be much appreciated.
