I need help identifing a pin I found. It's about the diameter of a quarter made of copper or brass. Stamped in the center are block letters "US" aprx. 3/8" tall. It has a raised edge and the background is a fine cross-hatch or knurled appearance. It has a threaded shaft and the keeper is about 1/2" in diameter, although it is fused onto the shaft now from being in the soil. The button face is about 1/16" thick. Any one who may be able to identify this, your comments would be appreciated.
