iron crucifix

While in Jerusalem, in Jan, '98, I purchased a metal crucifix about 2" square which appeared to be cast. On the obverse is Zaccheus climbing the tree to see Jesus, and on the reverse is the story of Zaccheus from the book of Luke in German. The shopkeeper, a reliable fellow, only knew that it "was found by the Bedouin." Could it have been lost by German troops in World War I? Does anyone who reads these posts know of another Website that might know of these kind of artifact? Thanks. Tom
