Too hot for Nautilus?

Some seasoned diggers have told me that the Nautilus won't perform well in the high grounds of MD, and some of No.VA due to heavy mineralization. Well, that's where the camps are! I would appreciate some more "seasoned" opinions before I buy one. I'm also considering a White's B & G to replace my quirky xlt... thanks.
