Looks like I am in the minority on this subject. Dan, I think I have read your posts in the past and it's not like you to make a personal, irrevalent judgement that I am in the modern age. For all you know, I may be 160 years old and fought in that war. I must admit, sometimes I feel that old. I would appreciate your sharing your sources for I too have read a few books, letters and diaries etc.and found this information lacking. I also hunted an old hog pen in Petersburg once and almost everything dug looked like it had been chewed. I guess we will never know for sure.
