Does your "pipe" bowl have a white chalky oxide on it like a lead bullet ? We have dug several pipe bowls around Prairie Grove Arkansas battle field area that are made from lead, perhaps from bullets. They have all had the same characteristic lead oxide that the bullets from the area do, and are heavy like lead (as you mentioned) because they are in fact lead. Sorry can't help with the "DEE CEE" piece, but it does ring a bell for some reason. Seems I've seen one somewhere, but don't remember where exactly. An artifact book maybe ?
