Hi Ed,
I have found several buttons stamped, "Washington Dee-Cee"...the "Dee-Cee" is on the bottom half of the button below "Washington". This was (is?) a brand of denim work clothes and these buttons were found on a lot of overalls and jeans.
Mine were found in my front yard which, according to some of the rest of the stuff I've found there, dates around the 1930's - 40's. My house was built in 1981 but must have been built on the site of an earlier house whose trash pile is now in (2-6" under) my front yard.
