I found a common eagle button that was on a white oak flat it was about 2 or 3 inchs deep what I thought was very odd was that the thread used to sew the button on was still on the shank it seems very strong after being in the ground for over 130 years have any of you found buttons with cloth or thread on them thanks Jess Mason in Arkansas
