Hi "D", I personally haven't found any, but I know taht they usually chose a spot near "water," for drinking, washing, and even a little fishing, if time permitted. In the rainy season, they would choose high ground, so they wouldn't wake up in a puddle of water. Look for evenly spaced depressions in the ground with old logs lying around (winter huts). Also, look for old fire pits, charcoal, burnt logs (if any survived they will probably near petrified), charred metal, etc., and if you start digging a bunch of square iron nails in a concentrated spot, it may be a hut site. They would also camp near homesteads, where the commanding General would use the house as his headquarters. Hope this helps some. Darryl (VA)
