While detecting around a 250+ year house, I found what appears to be a military coat button. The button is about 7/8 inch wide and has an eagle on the front. The eagle is holding arrows and what appears to be an olive branch. Over the eagle's head, there is some type of symbol, but I can't make out what it is. The backmark reads "Steele & Johnson Waterbury". Any help on IDing this button will be appreciated. HH Ron
