Heh Steve. Alot of guys soak there finds in olive oil to get the crud off. I use warm water and soap and a old toothbrush. If that doesn't get the stuff off I use a pad to scrub teflon pots with. Gently is the way to go. And if I get most of the bad stuff off, I'll lastly use a non-abrasive jewlers paste. I hope this helps. Stan
