I have seen only one trash pit dug and it was smack dab in the middle of the camp. It was about 14-18 inches down, There was over 200 peaces of melted lead in it 15 buttons a but of a rifle and many other good things all chared by the fire. We hunt a couple of camps and this is the only one that we have found. The only thing that i can think is that the plow gets to a lot of them. The best advice i can give you is hunt the hole camp really slow keeping your coil right on the ground and dig every deep hit. where in WV do you hunt? I go to collage right up On the Ohio border.
