Hi, Darryl's right about that Nautilus DMCIIB. My partner uses one and just beats the socks off everybody. Now and then I grab something he missed, but a lot of detecting is having the coil on the spot marked X. It's heavy, has a long learning curve, etc. , but it seems to be the best for relics. Use the 10" coil for depth.

Almost any decent modern detector will function as a relic unit. However the real good ones help you even the odds in thin areas.
