Thats exactly what I am talking about. Having lost permission on more than one farm due to the farmer throwing up his hands and saying: OK the only way to stop this destruction is to stop everyone from hunting. All the while only hurting the folks that abide by his rules. Usually when a law is enacted it is because people have been abusing their right to use the land. If permission is required to metal detect somewhere (and I can't think of anywhere its not)in order to abide by the law, then that don't stink its just called being a good citizen, so just get permission or go somewhere else where you can get permission. How would you feel if everyday when you came out your driveway a different person was on your land with a shovel. It doesn't set too well...I've been there.
