hi My partner's can easily detect minies to 9-12" in clay soil. I've seen it dig plenty of cannonball frags and the like at a foot or more and saw it find a large iron object at a measured 3 feet using the 10" coil. It is incredible with buttons.

I confirmed his deep find with my White's QII , which could also read this 3' deep object with a 12" HH coil.

Some folks say the old White's DI 6900 is the best for deep iron. It's a big ole monster....bigger than the Nautilus.
