Hi,

definately an Eagle Plate and likely Civil War period. A super find! The measurements are a bit small since common ones were 2 1/2". If this is the smaller plate it may be worth as much as $170.

Take care that it doesn't deteriorate. You should keep it airtight and perhaps even apply a thin coat of vaseline or olive oil. The lead often dries out and cracks after digging it up.
