Are you the John that has found two of these? If so congratulations! This one is definitely not 2 1/2 inches across. It is closer to 2 1/4 inches but it is the same in every other way. It was found in a resevoir lake that is very low due to the drought. When they flooded the lake they also flooded quite a few old homes, a church and a one room school house. We were hunting some of these foundations. There was no Civil War activity there. We found quite a few other neat relics and even some arrowheads which are very abundant in that area. Hope to go back again before the water comes back up. Do you know what the size of the smaller plate is? Thanks for the help.

Christy
