Christy, Just becouse there was no war activity in your area doesn't mean no relics. I have discovered that finding the home sites from that era is a great shot at a big supprise. Solders returning after the war often brought the hardware home with them. These relics were not valuable right after the war and may have been given to the kids to play with in the yard. You can figure out the rest. I found a very rare Ga state seal button at just such a home site. Last Saturday an eagle belt plate poped out at one of these home sites. I would git back before it rains. Congrats on a great find. GOOD LUCK and HH JIMMY IN GA
