Louisiana Button???

This past weekend I was lucky enough to hunt an old confederate training camp. I found a U.S. coat button and another button. The camp was hit twice by the union which explains the U.S. button. The other button had the etched image of a "seagull" or "pelican" head on it. The button was rounded just like any other button but the image was etched rather than raised. It was a tin back and it was rusted but the button was heavy as if leadfilled. The image looks like the "duckhead" logo. This is the only marking on the button. The birdhead is turned to the left. Any information will be greatly apreciated.

Thanks, Dave
