A friend took me hunting to a site where he had recovered a confederate pewter cast "I" button, with a few eagle buttons and some mixed bullets being found by two other diggers. I dug one fired bullet, a suspender clip and a C.S.A. rectangle belt plate. Though he wished he could have found it, Phil was as excited about the plate as I was! Though we went back two days later looking for more of those elusive pewter buttons, a few eagle buttons and some more bullets was all we found.
