Chuck, I recently purchased a button book that came highly recommended by alot of relic hunters. It's called "Record of American Uniform and Historical Buttons - Bicentennial Edition." by Alphaeus H. Albert. It is an excellent reference guide for buttons ranging from the Revolutionary time period all the way through the Civil War and includes Inaugural buttons worn on uniforms. Most importantly, it covers backmark information to help with your research. Give it a try. HH - RelicPrince
