INVESTOR/S WANTED:

We have located the wreck of an 18th century VOC merchantmen in shallow Indonesian territorial waters of Indonesia. This wreck has a cargo of Ching porcelain and in accordance with standard shipping procedure of the day, in all probability, gold ingots. A preliminary survey of the wreck indicates a series of crates, from which we have estimated that there exists approximately 50,000 pieces of various types of blue underglaze porcelain from the Ming and Ching dynasties and an unknown amount of private cargo. Government licences have been negotiated, and exclusive licence has been issued to myself by the Indonesian government through my Indonesian counterparts, as salvors. 50% to GRI, 20% Indo partners, 20% to investors 10% to me and mine.

Projected returns based on the sale of previous vintage wares recovered from similar vintage shipwreck, are circa US$15,000,000. We are urgently seeking investors/silent partners, willing to invest a total amount of US$200,000 for a 20% share of 100% of net returns (after reimbursement of investment funds).

The project should take approximately six to eight weeks to complete, and in the event we are unable to commence activities before the start of the 1997 wet season, we would envisage commencing salvage circa 1 March 1998. Sale and return from auction of salvaged goods are expected by mid 1998. Contracts stipulate separate cheques will be drawn for each investor, direct from Auctioneers. An initial deposit of US$65,000 will be required immediately upon signing of Joint Venture Agreement between investors and self, in good faith, which will be used to Indonesian associates to pay ancillary fees, with balance of investment made in progress payments as per budget estimate flow charts and balance paid in full, seven days prior to commencement of Salvage activities. I have worked extensively throughout South East Asia, especially with Indonesian partners. This wreck just sitting there, waiting to be salvaged. First in first served. No objection to investors rep on board, just so long as the person/s involved (as written in Project Contract) are SILENT partners, who defer to my knowledge. I have big problems with control freaks who become experts with one week of experience as treasure hunters operating in South China Sea. No place for novices…….
