From: rosrel1.hp.com - 156.153.255.194 I have an artifact which was found while snorkeling near a reef in Puerto Rico which I would like to identify. It is made of hardwood (Oak, I think) with hand made brass fittings, evidence of hand shaping, and with rectangular nail holes. It must be at least 100 years old, and is likely something used on boats or ships. I'd like to find someone familiar with the equipment used on sailing ships, and I could provide pictures and other information.
