Roger; Do you read the old archaic Spanish? I have about 2400 pages of stuff that has yet to be translated due to lack of time. Most of it pertaining to the 1622, 1715 and 1733 fleet. Trips to Spain are getting expensive, so you should do well if you can handle the legajos. My understanding is that some time soon the archives will be on the internet and you can call up documents by contracion #. That would certainly open a lot of doors. frogfoot
