As of 1972, John S. Potter in "The Treasure Diver's Guide" indicates that the remaining 25 ingots were still at the wreck. He also notes that the ship is at 130 feet, has been dynamited and broken by the sea into a flaten wreck, and has sunk deep into mud. The wreck would have to be cut up and raised off the sea to get to where the 25 gold bars could be located.
