Harry, you might want to take that book with a grain of salt not to hart. pulled out the charts and ran the numbers: Lat.33*55'00" lon 77*02'00", 16 Fathoms is the closest one to being correct, off Onslow Bay in 19 Fathoms.

Lat.33*10'00" Lon. 77*05'00" 18 Fathoms in real time is off Onslow Bay in 129 Fathoms.

Lat. 33*45'00" Lon.77*49'00" in 20 fathoms is ENE of Frying Pan Shoals in 45ft of water (6 fathoms)

best for last Lat.34*57'00" Lon. 77*02'00" 18 fathoms is located on highway 1100 about 2 miles NE of the Croatan Wildlife area in Craven County. must have been real wet the year they found that one since it is about 8 miles from the nearest water.

Guess these book writters don't think people check out what they write
