Just a note on history (dates +/-). Treasure was founded by Ken Doe and others as Treasure Adventure, the first of which dates back to around 1962, This lasted a few years, then stopped. The the regular Treasure (still Doe) started in the late 60s or 1970. Doe sold the magazine due to illness sometime around 1990. It was then published by Art Passanando and Captain Bob for around three years. Everything sort of blew up and the status of the title may still be in legal dispute.

However, one of the original staff and owners Ed Schnepf may have the title, but to avoid confusion started publishing Treasure Seekers for the last three years-this was suspended the end of last summer-97.

(this is from my rather distant, unresearched recollection).

Where the files went, I really am not sure. Doe (now deceased) probably kept some. Others may well be misplaced or destroyed.

I guess this is to say, you may be on your own.

Steve
