Thanks, Steve.

Thought that a while myself, Steve. Turns out Los Pinos was the village/town outside Fort Union. A lot of California Column guys mustered out there when their enlistments were up during the Civil War. I was able to eventually confirm Los Pinos as Fort Union by the location of their units when they mustered out.

The ones discharged at Fort West show to be mustered out there, maybe because there wasn't a town. But if they mustered out at Fort Seldon, Fort Union, Fort Marcy, or most of the Rio Grande/eastern NM forts, the papers show nearby towns instead of the forts. Exception to that is Fort Craig, for some reason.

best wishes, Jack
