I covered most of this in the article, "Who Were The Men Of The Lost Adams Diggings?", copyright 1995, Jack Purcell, which I've made available with most of my other material to people on the internet who have requested it. The Rose claims are not covered in the article because I've not been able to confirm anything he said, to date.
