Gold!
July 31, 1998 at 19:06:11

After 3 tries I finally found color in our local river valley. Only very small flakes. What a thrill though! Any ideas how far upriver the sourse could be. I'm not asking for an exact figure, but what is possiblt. 10 miles? 100 miles? could try to work the river back to the source, but would like to save some legwork if possible. There's a sandbar here I want to try, but the water levels too high right now. Well, any experianced panners out there? Thanks, Rick
