Hi Chuck,
I had used whites and Garett for years,. The main squawk I had with either of them is that they wouldn't hold up under field conditions. Screws would fall out of the boards and short the units out, etc. I always had to take at least two units to end up with one unit that worked.
Then one day I ordered this archaic looking Xcaliber. Gosh what a gyp I exclaimed. Mostly plastic tubing, with no meter, no depth estimate, Etc,Ect,Ect. I was frankly about to ship the stripped gadget back to Kellyco when I turned it on. When I did, turn it on and swept the area a few times, my mouth fell open. I NEVER said another word about this machine again except I wish it had a point circuit. like the push button on cheaper white units.
The Australians are right Chuck, although they don't take time to trash competitors TYhey only care about the best unit---and they've got it. End of sagga
Treasure Hunters don't need state of the art computer detectors that they can't figure out how to work withs, meters, guages ,bells and a Cel phone. Treasure Hunters simply need the deepest seeking detector in ANY KIND OF SOIL to finds valuables where no other detector can go. Don't ask me the legal and technical stuff about it. Try one for yourself and see. A picture is worth 1,000 words. I've never seen anything like it! don't ask me how it works, but the multiple frequencies seem to allow the unit to balance better in conductive soils so that the depth is deeper with no background squawking.. You, of course, won't like the way it works, because it is a different mouse trap. If you don't like it ship it back. What could be more reasonable?
Their advertising and their research plus the fantastic success stories is how they were able to inter the American High tech market with such a blushing device.. It works. It's better and who cares why? End of sagga.
