From prior search in other deep tunnels, the so called booby traps were non existant.The posionous gas cannisters were always empty so 55 years may has been too long to stay active. However the Japanese military did put alot of live POW's inside various tunnels and seal the entrances shut on the grounds that dead men tell no stries and we have found many skeltons usually at the sealed entrance
