Rob, I don't want to speak of a subject that I am not qualified to speak on. But let me stumble through it and wait for rebuttles. The United States was the largest threat to Hitler of the total world. IF he could smuggle enough gold in the United States to break our econimic back, then he would have eliminated the United Strates from world war two and taken us over at his convience. When this venture failed and other like it, it was only one German venture out of many such ventures, like drug marketing today. Hitler, I think, recalled all of the Gold in the Unnited States that had failed because of the American Gold act. Hitler could use the gold back in Germany for war efforts. It is not news that Germany lost the war NOT because they were broke at all, it was because they were out of trained personnel. Japan was by far the biggest theives of the opposite side. They cached over 5,000 metric tons of gold from rapped countries in the Philippines. Germany had good staches too, but by far the massacred Jews fortunes greased the treads of the German army, and paid for the German costs of world war two. Many of these deposits you are reading about now in the newspapers. So much for World war two, Let's get what they left behind!!!!!! Richard
