Cody: There is much written concerning the Lost Rhoades Mine, but most of it is fictional. Gale Rhoades' book, "Footprints in the Wilderness, History of the Lost Rhoades Mine", is as factual as any. However, Rhoades did not reveal too much. He kept much of what he knew to himself and to his partners. I was privledged to be one. We, together hunted for Caleb's mine. He alone looked for over 30 years. We found some of his mines, but not the big one. Now that Gale has passed on, I have been carrying on the search. I was lucky last fall when I discovered one important clue left behind by Caleb Rhoades. Who knows? Maybe this year will be the year.
