Side Scan Sonar Project
July 21, 1999 at 12:46:08

Hello,

Several people are interested in forming an internet design team for the purpose of developing a home-brew side scan sonar. If you have any interest in this area, whether you have expertise or not, please visit www.tthn.com/geotech and click on the Sonar Project link.

There is a discussion forum where some of the initial ideas are being batted around. We would appreciate input from others and would like to get a number of additional participants. Tasks include electronic design, transducer experiments, PC board layout, signal processing, PIC coding, software development, mechanical (towfish) design, etc. In other words, there is LOTS to do!

- Carl
