Rodney : Before you start digging, plant some carrots in the dip. When they grow big enough to pull, see if they taste soapy! If they do, you will need some serious work on your septic system. My wife put a garden in over 100 feet away from the septic system and there was leakage all the way to the garden. Yes, the carrots tasted soapy, and clued us in to what was going on. I seriously doubt it is a treasure except for the repair people. Regards Marc P.S. if it is that close to your well, call the county health dept. and ask them to do a soil test, really, really soon.
