This is for both of you. The Mohave or Coontail is one of the most dangerous and aggresive snakes That I have run into. Copperheads do not chase you. WaterMocs, I had not had the joy of running in to. I still thank CCI for the canaster round of snake shot. In the brush a hiking pole or staff is great for either jumping away from them or flipping them away from you. If it is a sunny day and there are any flat rocks on a southern exposure, even with 2-4 inches ofsnow on the northern slope, can have snakes sunning themselves. My brother knows this for a solid fact. About 8 of them and he only had 6 shots in the pistol. He waited until they got tired of him and left, so that he could leave. We don't go into that area any more. I'm just saying that unless it is below 30 degrees always watch for snakes. P.S. at 50-60 degrees they are slugish, you can step on one and get away before he can turn around and get to you. Don't ask, it was again, my brother. Regards Marc
